Did you delete a file from and external HD/thumbdrive and then unmounted the HD/thumbdrive but left the deleted file in Trash? You can quit and restart when that Disk Utility repair successfully completes - there's no reason to continue with the OS X install (although that might be necessary if the Disk Open that folder and look for com.apple.finder.plist and delete it.
