The first time I emptied my trash, everything was normal. I made an alias by dragging the directory name to the Favorites sidebar.Then I deleted the directory.Now I get the error.How to fix.WHat i did was to make an alias of I think I might recreate the original file that the alias links to on the drive that it originally existed on, and then try to empty the trash. I suppose they were created when I was using the prefpane and using shell commands, as they are all geeklet.shell.plist files. However, as soon as I access it, I get: The alias "[email protected]" can't be opened because the original item can't be found. But the last few weeks, I cannot empty it at all, and have to use Onyx. Much later, I discovered that I was getting an error -8060 from the Finder when I tried to open certain files. So last night, something weird happened-- whenever I tried to quick look a file, it froze for thirty seconds, then finder would just crash.
