Yes, there are 2. I google and have a camera checked with an expert. And while I'm not happy that it's spent so much time in the shop I certainly can't complain about Canon not charging me for the subsequent repair(s).

I have never removed the lens from the body as yet, it was seated when i first got it and thats where it is has stayed.
