I dont answer coding questions via PM or EMail.

I therefore wanted to use the FIND function to find out what is the appropriate row in another dataset and then use some values from this row. If it returns TRUE, they match. So, today, I automated a bit more by searching column J for the = sign, presenting user with a message box that shows them the contents of the cell with the Cells.find Vba Am I better off looping through all of the rows to see if an = exists in column J?

I run the following macro: Sub FindDate() Range("C6:Z6").Select Selection.Find(What:="01/08/2012", After:=ActiveCell, LookIn:=xlFormulas _ LookAt:=xlPart, SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlNext, _ MatchCase:=False, SearchFormat:=False).Activate End Sub and always seem to get Run-time error 91. Although I found I had to change SearchOrder to 'xlByColumns' and set After to 'Range("C6")' to avoid errors. –Spütnik Aug 16 '12 at 10:25 add a comment| Your Answer draft Register To Reply 11-25-2012,01:57 PM #11 AlphaFrog View Profile View Forum Posts Forum Guru Join Date 07-25-2011 Location Florida MS-Off Ver Excel 2003 Posts 5,320 Re: FIND function returns Runtime Error Thanks again...
